Smart Savers Account

As a part of improving our service, we are delighted
to introduce our new SMART SAVERS sub-account.

There are many benefits to this account, including:

Available to all Members

The Smart Savers sub-account is available to all members in Arklow Credit Union's common bond.

Quick and easy lodgements - No Cards Required

Members can lodge funds at any teller desk in the form of cash, cheque or debit card. Members can avail of the online card payment facility Here. A Smart Savers sub-account has a unique IBAN that allows funds to be transferred directly from the member's bank account. Members can access the Quick Lodge facility in Arklow Credit Union's offices to lodge funds into the Smart Savers sub-account.

Hassle free withdrawals

Members can withdraw from the Smart Savers sub-account at any teller desk and online by using the Arklow Credit Union app.

No extra charges

There are no extra charges on the Smart Savers sub-account.

Safe and secure

All savings are covered by the Deposit Guarantee scheme which secures a member's savings up to €100,000.00.

New limit

As of the 5th January 2021, the maximum amount permitted in the Smart Savers account is €1,000.00. Please note that this scheme is not covered by the Credit Union member’s life savings / death benefit insurance - so make sure to keep your share account active to avail of these benefits.

The Smart Savers sub-account is not not secured against a member's Loan account.

Funds held in a member's Smart Savers sub-account will not be held against any loans once their repayments are up to date.
