Gaeltacht Bursary

At Arklow Credit Union, we are committed to supporting our members in reaching their educational goals. As part of our Environmental Social Governance also known as ‘ESG’ initiatives we are proud to offer a Gaeltacht Bursary to help promote the Irish Language and Heritage.

We will select one member to receive the €500 bursary which will assist in covering the costs associated with attending a Gaeltacht course during the summer months. Applications are welcome from students of any level of Irish provided they are attending a Gaeltacht Course in 2025. The bursary will be paid to the parent/guardian of the student and successful applicants will need to provide evidence of confirmed booking/payment to the Gaeltacht College. The closing date for applications is 31^st of May 2025.

We are delighted to offer this bursary this year to assist families in our common bond with the cost of sending a student to the Gaeltacht. It is a great opportunity for students to improve their language skills whilst offering a cultural experience and opportunity for new friendships.

The bursary will be drawn by lottery on 11^th June 2025.
