First ever in Ireland, Arklow Credit Union rolls out its community banking service on wheels to Avoca, Co Wicklow with plans to extend the service further in coming months

Arklow Credit Union is proud to introduce the first ever mobile Credit Union Service providing the full range of Arklow Credit Union services to the community of Avoca Village - every Friday starting on 19th April 2024 from 10am to 12noon Avoca Church car park.

This Credit Union Branch on Wheels is equipped with remote access technology, providing staff with the ability to call up the home branch in Arklow to get a member’s account balance in real-time. Additional functionality available for the members, includes making fast lodgements, making deposits & withdrawals, bill paying or applying for a loan.

Speaking about the announcement, Hugh O’Keeffe, CEO of Arklow Credit Union said

“Whether it is looking for Foreign Exchange, lodging a cheque or applying for a loan, members from all around Avoca can now avail of our enhanced Credit Union Branch on Wheels service in their local community, supported by a dedicated team of fully-trained Mobile Member Service Officers.

Along with mobile and online banking, telephony, and traditional branches, the Credit Union Branch on Wheels is just one of the many ways Arklow Credit Union is connecting with its members in a meaningful way.”
